Nathalie Leblanc is providing training as part of AQEI’s Workshop-Training

The wind power industry is well established and relies on proven practices, effective mitigation measures, and standardized assessment protocols that reflect a structured and responsible sector. However, the increase in turbine size and the accumulation of projects in certain regions raise concerns about the cumulative environmental impacts of wind projects and other activities on the territory. Although some limitations exist, such as data availability, numerous tools and methods allow for the assessment of cumulative impacts.

Our colleague Ms. Nathalie Leblanc, Project Director – Environmental and Social Impact Studies, had the pleasure of presenting cumulative impact assessments in the context of wind farms during AQEI’s Workshop-Training on cumulative impacts in environmental assessment. She shared the expertise of the Pesca team, which helps anticipate and mitigate potential negative effects while maximizing positive impacts of wind projects, and identifying opportunities to improve assessments in the future.
